Community Outreach
At Eastview Lightning Robotics, community outreach is at the heart of what we do. From STEM education events and local cleanups to senior center visits and industry fairs, our students are dedicated to giving back, inspiring future innovators, and building strong community connections through robotics.

Apple Valley Villa Senior Living Community
Our robotics students have visited senior living communities to host social gatherings and demonstrations of our competition robot, creating meaningful connections across generations. We also proudly volunteered our time at a charity fundraiser to help support transportation services for senior residents, reinforcing our commitment to service through STEM.

Best Buddies International
Eastview Lightning Robotics proudly supports Best Buddies International at EVHS to support inclusion and friendship for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our students participate in robot demonstrations and are developing 3D-printed classroom fidgets and adaptive technologies to promote accessibility and meaningful engagement.

Dakota County Adopt-A-Highway
Twice a year, our robotics students and mentors participate in the Dakota County Adopt-A-Highway program. Together, we clean a 2-mile stretch of roadway by collecting trash and recyclable materials—helping keep our roads, community, and environment clean and beautiful. It's a hands-on way we show our commitment to service and sustainability.

District 196 Elementary & Middle Schools
Eastview Lightning Robotics is proud to support STEM growth across District 196 schools. Our students regularly participate in Elementary STEM Nights, where they showcase our robots, lead interactive demonstrations, and spark curiosity in younger learners. We support the expansion of FIRST LEGO League programs in our middle schools, helping to mentor future robotics students in K-12 schools.

High Tech Kids
We are proud to support High Tech Kids, a Minnesota-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the official Program Delivery Partner for FIRST LEGO League Explore, FIRST LEGO League Challenge, and FIRST Tech Challenge in Minnesota. In addition to participating in FIRST Tech Challenge, our students actively promote robotics and STEM education through outreach events in partnership with High Tech Kids—including Medtronic's Spark Family Day—helping to inspire the next generation of innovators.

Robot Day at the Works Museum
Eastview Lightning Robotics students volunteered at Robot Day, a hands-on STEM event hosted by The Works Museum. They demonstrated our competition robot and engaged with children and families, sparking curiosity and sharing their passion for engineering and robotics. The event provided an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of innovators through interactive learning.
