Parents and Caregivers

Your support is truly vital to the success of our robotics program. Whether it’s volunteering your time, helping with transportation, lending a hand at events, or simply cheering from the sidelines, your involvement plays a key role in shaping meaningful experiences for our students. It’s this kind of support that helps build confidence, foster teamwork, and keep our program strong and growing. We are deeply grateful — and we welcome any and all ways you can get involved!

All About Fees

Why are the fees so expensive? How are these fees used?

Robotics fees cover the follow expenses: tournament registration costs, transportation, lodging, tools, trailer maintenance, software, and pit equipment.

How do I make payment?

All fees should be paid by check, Zelle, or Square. Please make checks payable to Eastview Lightning Robotics and note your student's name in the memo line. If paying through Zelle or Square, please make sure to note student name.

Do I have to make installment payments?

Payments are structured into 2 installment payments to help ease the financial burden and allow a delineation for students who are only participating in FTC, but you are welcome to pay the entire $500 fee for FRC all at once in September if you prefer.

What if I can't afford these fees?

Eastview Lightning Robotics offers scholarships. Please do not let these fees be a barrier to your student participating in EVLR.

In the past, FRC fees were paid closer to season kickoff; why the change to early fall?

In response to feedback we received from students, we are supporting pre-season teambuilding. The fall is a great time to prepare for the January kickoff by checking and restocking any parts or supplies, which allows us to focus on the build, programming, and strategy once the competition officially kicks off.

How do I donate to scholarships for other students?

If you are interested in donating additional money to student scholarships or robotics team supplies, please click the Donate button at the bottom of this page or click on the Donate tab in the menu above.
